Senior Cloud Engineer

You will work across the wider technology function to design and deliver cloud-aligned solutions in line with a broader cloud strategy. This is a hands-on engineering role with strong input into architecture and product design.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement scalable cloud-based solutions aligned to strategic roadmap
• Contribute to product design and architectural decision-making
• Build, maintain, and enhance cloud-native and legacy-integrated applications
• Develop infrastructure as code and automate cloud provisioning
• Ensure high standards across security, accessibility, performance and OOP principles
• Write and execute unit and integration tests
• Collaborate closely with engineering, QA and project teams
• Actively contribute to technical workshops, architecture reviews and design sessions

Required Experience:

• 8+ years’ commercial software engineering experience
• Minimum 3 years working within cloud environments
• Strong Infrastructure as Code experience using Terraform
• Experience building and managing public cloud environments
• Exposure to cloud governance frameworks
• Strong understanding of cloud security
• Deep knowledge of distributed systems, web protocols, operating systems and hypervisors
• Hands-on CI/CD experience
• Strong programming capability in Java, Python or similar
